Tony Snow: A Man and His Dog
Here’s another minx nugget related to my recent trip to D.C. A friend of mine is a neighbor of the new press secretary and related some interesting tidbits. First, she has seen him in his flannel pajamas and slippers! That’s right, Mr. Snow pads around the house in slippers. I didn’t realize people still did that. It reminds me of the intro for “Father Knows Best,” dah dah dah dah, dah dah dah dah. But I guess Snow is a bit of a throwback.
The Snows also have a very large portrait of their very elderly dog (who has considerable trouble walking) above their very large kitchen fireplace. The family dog is clearly revered, and, as we all know, dog love is non-partisan.

[...] I just got Wonketted which is a little frightening for a itty bitty little regional blog like the minx’s. What I’m most concerned about, besides my hosting service collasping, is that I never meant for that many people to read my post on the new press secretary. Its every blogger’s dream to be noticed by one of the biggies, but sometimes you forget it could happen when your blogging away in relative obscurity. Someone might get a wee bit upset with me for divulging top secrets. I’ll never get a tip again! [...]
