Wingfield Towers Update
Holy Smokes, the new Wingfield Towers is going to be pretty amazing. It will create a sort of twin tower to the new Waterfront Towers on Lake Street, and will give Reno an actual skyline. Downtown Makeover Dude has a slideshow up on his site from the developer. It looks pretty snazzy and will include water features and lots of retail and meandering space off of Court Street and Island Avenue.
I’m glad I sold my place in Park Towers when I did—its gonna be dwarfed by Wingfield Towers , and I’m afraid its charms will appear a bit rundown next to a completed Wingfield Towers.
A Reno skyline. Cool. The minx is in favor of that.

Oh my. Now that’s a sexy layout. It’d be great if they had a restaurant with seating on the patio for Friday summer evenings. Reno is really on it’s way!
Are they going to leave that brick building where it is? Hope so.
DUDE
DUDE
whoa.
that’s all I have to say.
You should write a song……
DUDE, DUDE, Whoa
That’s all I have to say.

“say” can’t be the last word. It has to be “dude!”
Hi Fuchsia;
Yes they are leaving the brick building; in fact the guy who owns the brick building (forget his name sorry) actually owns the entire plot of land the project is going on. He loves the project, and from what the developers tell me, feels it will only increase the value of his remaining parcel the brick building is on.
I’ve heard so many stories about that guy…they can’t all be true. The brick building is going to look interesting sandwiched between Park Towers and Wingfield Towers, although it might help make the transition between the two buildings more logical by appearing illogical.
Yes please!!!
Please let this happen, between Wingfield and Waterfront Towers, Reno will start to look VERY serious.
Not to mention the Hilton project (I bet they are full of it, but I hope they prove me wrong!), hotel across from the Atlantis (10-15 stories), maybe even a nice little tower in South Reno against the hills for the Station Casino project.
Oh yea!
