Who Reads Discontents?

Ever wonder who reads Discontents besides you? It a pretty interesting group of people if I do say so myself. Roughly 70% of all readers are from Nevada or Northern California and most of those in Nevada are from the Northern Nevada area. I consider this my local audience. So you can see that a lot of locals are reading this blog. Thanks by the way.

Now it gets interesting, because from week to week, I seem to have developed a small but steady following in Plano, Texas of all places, but also in Georgia (mostly Atlanta), and New York (mostly NYC). I don’t know anyone in any of these places so the regular visits can’t be explained by friends and family. I suppose its possible that people in Plano or Atlanta keep getting referred here by various Google searches, but somehow that doesnt seem as probable. Plano’s pretty small isn’t it? So, if you are a reader in Plano, I would be interested in hearing why you keep coming back. This past week, someone in Worminghall, United Kingdom (Oxfordshire) has taken quite an interest in Discontents as well, and I recently exchanged email with a reader in Seoul, Korea who I conversed with about Reno, The Pogues, Tom Waits, and Nick Cave. Its a small world out there.

What have they been reading? The recents posts on the Charla Mack murder, father’s rights groups, the almost interview with The Coup, Wingfield Towers, Mimi Miyagi, the AT&T privacy policy, and bad dates and boyfriends have been the most popular. As far as feeds checked regularly (besides the main feed) people burn the feeds for the categories of Politics and Reno Development most often.

Say hello to each other Discontents. Its been nice getting to know all of you.

Hello Discontents,

She stole my heart and moved to Reno.. sounds like a country song if it isnt already.

ohhhhh, let’s write it! Your comment might keep me from shutting this place down for another week. Thanks!

The girl with green eyes, she hyptnotized, mesmorized.
I lost my soul, as I felt so old. Making my decision and indecision to choose my wife or a life with the girl that stole my heart and moved to Reno.

The boy with brown eyes, so idealized and memorized.
He bared his soul, and I was sooo cold. But a good boy like that can’t compete with the consuming lure of the dark western skies.

And it didn’t help that he didn’t belive in polygamy……

He felt the cold lies, isolation under a moonlit Denver sky, graduate research studies echoed in his mind. How could he be so wrong about the girl that stole his heart and moved to Reno.

orange.
