George Hakuna Macaca Allen!
My former governor(isn’t he purty?) has been up to his good ole boy tricks again. I’ve been following the story for the last two days–who hasn’t? I don’t know, but in case you haven’t, I give you George Hakuna Macaca Allen–the football-tossing, tobacco-chewing aspiring Senator from Virginia. You can view the video here.
Pundits can debate what on earth Allen meant by calling UVA student S.R. Sidarth “Macaca,” (monkey? shit head? duh) but its just another item on his long list of racially tinged mistakes over the years, particularly his love affair with the Confederate flag, which isn’t necessarily rare in Ole Viginny. Its ironic, however, because he was raised chiefly in Southern California. It wasn’t until he attended UVA himself that he began draping himself in the stars and bars. Ironic again because, of course, Sidarth is also a UVA student. I’m guessing he won’t be applying for an internship in Allen’s office if he manages to win the Senate seat. Here’s another good round up of Allen’s list of racial gaffes. Confederate Heritage Month?
The part of the video where Allen says that his opponent is “probably living inside the beltway” (that’s a pretty small part of Virginia) and visiting “with a bunch of hollywood movie moguls” made me chortle at his unbelievable simplicity. Webb is no ultra liberal, in fact, he’s a Vietnam war hero and former Navy secretary under President Ronald Reagan. Just because he’s written a few books (!) and produced a couple of movies, doesn’t mean he’s Warren Beatty. What’s truly amazing is that Allen said all of this knowing full well that he was being taped. What a complete ass, but whose suprised? Can you say American Cowboy Day? Hopefully, this is the incident that will prevent him from winning the Republican nomination for president which is a very good thing. All we need is another bully cowboy in the White House.
Allen’s macaca incident makes Titus’s student abuse look like a walk in the park.

Hmmm… isn’t it curious that we’ll have yet another GOP prez candidate with the first name George?
I think this will prevent this George from becoming president. His latest idiocy is preserved for all eternity.
