Cheney Does It Again at the VFW Convention

Your’e not suprised are you? The VP can’t seem to help himself. Wasn’t it just last week that even Bush said Iraq has nothing to do with September 11th, 2001?

And that’s why we are fighting with the remnants of Saddam Hussein’s regime and terrorists in Iraq…

I know some have suggested that by liberating Iraq from Saddam Hussein, we simply stirred up a hornet’s nest. They overlook a fundamental fact: We were not in Iraq on September 11th, 2001, and the terrorists hit us anyway. As President Bush has said, the hatred of the radicals existed before Iraq was an issue, and it will exist after Iraq is no longer an excuse.

He’s getting a bit more slippery on his claims, but its still implied there in black and white. When is this guy going to stop claiming that Al Qaeda had something to do with Iraq? Seriously?

[...] In yesterday’s Reno Gazette Journal it was reported that President George W. Bush will be visiting Reno on October 2nd to provide Dean Heller’s Senate campaign an apparently much needed cash infusion. It seems that little ole Jill Derby has the national Republicans on the run. Its been a busy month for Reno as far as Bush Administration celebrities zipping in and out of town. What I wouldn’t give to see how much the recent campaign, uh, I mean test of mid-election strategies, uh, I mean goodwill tour stops made by Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Bush will end up costing tax payers? The three visits combined could surely add up to around a $ 1 million bucks since Air Force One alone costs $57,000-an-hour. [...]

I’m afraid the answer to your question about when “The Penguin’s” going to stop prevaricating about the connection between AQ an Iraq contains elements of (1) flying pork; and, (2) Hades get glaciers.

Sigh …when, oh when will those asshats stop using my tax dollars to campaign for the asshat GOP fools who own our country now? I know …not until the center wakes up.
