Time To Wake Up Jim Gibbons

The absolutely genius Gleaner catches the Gibbons campaign with their designer fatiques around their knees, showing no understanding of what is actually happening today in the United States. On his site, the Gibbons campaign misrepresents text from the 9/11 Commission report to justify Gibbons’ position on Iraq. The Gibbons site claims that the 9/11 Commission Report documented “numerous contacts” between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda, but the Gibbons campaign neglected to include the fact that the report also concludes that there was never a colloborative relationship between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda. Uh, duh! That’s like saying I go to bed with my gay neighbor down the hall because we wave hello whenever we pass each other in the hall. Perhaps they didn’t know that the Senate Intelligence committee released a report today also dismissing that a relationship between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda existed? I guess its time to update the website, but we’re awfully glad you haven’t so far.

I guess Mr. Gibbons hasn’t been watching or reading the news over the past few days (not to mention from a few years ago). He didn’t even have to read the articles–their headlines would have told him all he needed to know. Does he really think the citizens of Nevada are that stupid? Or is he that stupid? Either way, there is no way such a complete and utter moron deserves the governorship of this great state.

Here are just a few news items from which he might have found out that the 9/11 Commission Report and the Senate Intelligence Committee agree that there was NO connection between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda.

Forget it, here’s the whole google news list of articles just for today.

Can’t wait to see what Titus does with this.

“Does Gibbons think Nevadans are that stupid”. Well, yes his political machine does think that. They are the “old boys” of Nevada politics. They believe that what they do and say will be tolerated by the pople, and it has been in the past. Thank Allah for the influx of new population, and with it new thoughts and ideas, (even the dreaded Californians). They might not be ideas that will be embraced by Nevadans, but at least they are new thoughts and ideas. Keep up the good work Myrna.

Does Jim Gibbons think Nevadans are that stupid?

Absolutely!

He is counting on it.

the guy is crazy. remember, he went to Iraq for Bush to look for WMD.

I am a 1980’s iraq/afghanistan/ cold war veteran.
Having lived it, and studied it ever after, like a vietnam vet can likely tell you anything you’d care to know about that war;
I can say unequivocally that there is no Saddam Hussein-Osama bin Laden linkage to 9-11-01
Saddam Hussein is a secular Sunni Moslem. Osama Bin Laden is a “messianiac” Shiite extremist.
Though they are both islamic, they are like oil and water- much like any other extremist religious factions- closest example that everyone is familiar with would be “christmas-easter”-sunday catholics, and robertson-falwell-dobson-etc. evangelical “Christofascist” extremists that want the world to convert to their personal dogmatic form of christianity; or else. Theri church and religion is their life. think “American Taliban”. Women- Grab you “burkhas. Men- no more Playboy, or strip joints. Bye bye Gambling in Vegas. It will be like Salt Lake City; or Saudi “America”
Actually- islamic extremists, such as al-sadr, Zarqawi, etc have more in common with “christofascist extremists” here on our own shores.
With nukes. Imagine if Iran Shiite extremists had nukes, and wanted the world to convert to islam, or die. You get the picture.
And forget about smoking reefer, or any other of your present civil liberties..especially discontented blogs.

there is going to come to be a time when Mr. Gibbons will have to come to his senses, and stop marching lockstep with the Beltway Republicans.
Even the Nazi High Command- the ordinary Generals such as Rommel, Runstedt, Model, and maybe even Hess reached a point where they realized that their leadership was insane, and passively, or actively sought a sensible end to an insane war. Common German Soldiers fired a few shots, inaccurately, then deserted, and surrendered en masse, to the first American “dogface” they met.
When your army is marching off a cliff, and into the sea, the only way to stop the insanity is to stop marching, and throw the leadership off the clif instead. or at least turn around, and march another direction that makes more sense..
lockstep down the boulevard to your demise is stupid. But nobody ever said that Mr Gibbons was a rocket scientist. Just ask “the Nevada scandalmonger”

I dont think Mr. Gibbons really wants to win this election, but wants to tow the party line, to stay loyal to his own “insane high command”. I think he is passively sabotaging his own campaign, because he is just a tired old war horse- doing his duty one more time. If he loses (when) it will be due to his own hand.
I “made a monkey out of him” in the primary. I offered my advice to his campaign as I said i’d support his run, in anyway I could. But how can you support someone who keeps shooting himself in the foot(accidently, or on purpose?), and wont hand over the 45? or at put the safety on (his mouth) so he isnt a hazard to himself, or the others around him..
tell Bob Uithoven that Hardees in Henderson is hiring cooks. He’ll need that lead when this elections over..
Dina titus wants to take away your 7.62mm “Ranch rifles, and cozy up to Nancy Pelosi, and her Whacko West Coast Women politicos- And other Gun-Grabbers, like Paul Helmke and “the Brady Bunch”.

And the Republicans, and 2nd Amendment supporters, and the Gibbons Campaign dont seem to care.
Mao Tse Tung once said “Freedom comes from the barrell of a Gun”.
If Washington, Jefferson, Et Al; surrendered their long rifles, we would all be saluting the Union Jack…
But I dont care. I live in Indiana. Dont blame me, I didnt vote for either of them..
