Whose side is God on anyway?
To the “let’s legislate morality” and “god’s on our side” folks: Have there been enough signs yet? Is the hypocrisy apparent? Is the not-so-black-and-white nature of the world coming into view yet?
As an aside: I serendipitously spotted Air Force 1 passing directly overhead on the way home this evening. Pretty cool regardless of your political persuasion.

Seeing the world in all its complexities does not lend itself to a population that wants the quick fix and the easy answer. Too “fat”?…don’t exercise and eat right…take a pill. Muslim world hates the US?…Don’t consider why, just nuke’em and take the oil (I’m quoting a bumper sticker).
Not to mention that the 6 second soundbite on the nightly news doesn’t really allow for nuanced consideration of issues.
sigh…
