MMP 2006 Endorsement Announcement

Without previously warning Myrna the Minx — though we couldn’t ask for a better editor — MMP is going to do some endorsements this year in the general election. It’s about time for early voting to start. Thing is, we haven’t made up our minds in every race just yet. So, we’re putting the candidates and our readers on notice: this is your chance to sway our opinion.

In addition, we’ve made up our minds in a handful of assembly races, the remaining statewides and the remainder of the Federal Offices. These four — we need your input. We’ll probably quote the folks who e-mail us in our posts. So, those of you who say “Jim Gibbons are teh suck” in your e-mails, be prepared to be outed. If you’d rather we not quote you — say so anywhere in the body of your e-mail.

This isn’t going to be democratic. Surely, when we endorse one person who you don’t like, you’ll obviously say something like “So and so e-mailed MMP 900 times to get the endorsement.” That’s not how we work. We’re going to take into account a well-reasoned, persuasive argument. Also, those remarks posted in the comments won’t be taken into account.

E-mail your comments to morning.politics@gmail.com by Wednesday at 5 p.m. The sooner we hear from you, the better decision we can make.
