Results of Discontent’s Poll On Political Ads
And the winning answer is……..”Ridiculously juvenile” with 23% of the total vote. Coming a close second was the wince inducing “The first time I saw them, I paid attention. The 17th time, I wanted to kill carve my brain out with a ladle” with 21% of the vote. And the second runner up was the simply cynical “more of the same crap from both sides,” an answer provided by one of our readers, which garnered 15% of the total vote. Its interesting to note that “ridiculously juvenile” killed “ridiculously stupid” in our poll. I guess our readers are giving campaign ad creators credit for insulting their intelligence by creating so many ridiculously juvenile ads
Of course, there were a couple of stand out answers contributed by our brilliant readers, including one that appears to be written in secret code: “vsqesnxy.” Me no good at word puzzles. Whoever added “Not enough commecials showing Gibbons throwing up” is clearly a glutton for punishment. And my favorite is the wine inspired “Tension-laced, with a slight tone of Desparity.” I think its time for a nice Zinfandel, don’t you?
