Could someone please explain to me why this is “news”? I still remember hearing about people who were so outraged and offended over the fact that Target & Wal Mart were using Happy Holidays in their advertisements instead of Merry Christmas. Who the hell cares? Not everyone celebrates Christmas. They’re just trying to appeal to all people.
Its news because walmart caved in to the religious right groups who launched a campaign against them and every other retailer last year. God–dont you remember all the letters to the editor about this last year? Hideous–I hope its all over this year.
Justin: Well, had you read the story, you’d know they’re specifically NOT trying to appeal to all people. That’s…. why we bring it up, we suppose.
Myrna: You know, it’s not like Wal-Mart was suffering. We were pretty excited about their new cheap drugs and inexpensive organic foods in the grocery stores, but then they pull a stupid-ass stunt like this.
From now on, MMP will only shop a stores that advertise secular humanism.
That eliminates In and Out Burger.
Seriously! What’s the deal with the hidden scripture? MMP is totally opening a restaurant that quotes Descartes on the back of the menu.
