Fox Attacks Obama

And here is a statement from Moveon.org’s Adam Green:
“Everybody supports reaching out to new people. But 365 days a year, Fox smears Democrats and spreads lies while operating under the guise of being a trustworthy news source. Fox is giving Democrats 1 day of news coverage specifically to have legitimacy while smearing Democrats the other 364 days this year. There’s no excuse for agreeing to that.”
75% of Nevada members said that the NV Democratic Party should not be partnering with Fox. (10% not sure.)
Taylor Marsh has the latest statement from state party spokesman Kirsten Searer:
“A 50-state strategy means talking to every American. FOX is the most watched cable news network, and Democrats need to talk to these viewers in order to win. The debate in August is not an endorsement of FOX. Instead, it is an effort to reach out to FOX viewers. We will not win elections if we don’t win over new people.
“The Nevada Democratic Party has negotiated live coverage of the August debate in Reno that will allow the Democratic Presidential candidates to speak directly to the Fox audience for ninety unfiltered minutes. The audience will hear the views of our candidates without edits, commentary or interruption. Each major decision about the debate – from the background on the stage to the debate moderator – will be reached by ‘mutual agreement’ of the state party, Western Majority Project and FOX News.
“The Nevada Democratic Party signed onto this debate – along with Democratic parties from Arizona, Colorado, Montana and New Mexico – because we believe it is critical for Democrats to engage voters, especially those who have heard too little from Democrats in the past. We believe the more people hear from Democrats, the better chance a Democrat will win the White House in 2008.”

Hugh Jackson just posted on his site, The Las Vegas Gleaner, that NSDP State Chairman Tom Collins will NOT be running for re-election!
Well…I wonder what prompted that change in his dictatorship?
The NSDP doesn’t even have a 17 County Strategy - do you really think they understand Howard Dean’s 50 State Strategy?
We need new leadership NOW!
And IF the NSDP is really serious about “Winning in the West” by “partnering” with Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Montana - then, why are they NOT also “partnering” with Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, Washington AND California Democratic State Parties?
This is just another line of “BULL” to cover somebody’s really stupid decision!
