Nevada’s May Be The Forgotten Caucus, But Michigan’s Been Snubbed
Clinton is playing it safe again. Obama, Edwards, Biden, and Richardson withdrew their names from the Michigan primary ballots, but Clinton chose not to take any action which work both for her and against her. You certainly can’t blame any state for trying to make itself an important part of the primary season, but things have gotten ridiculous, and I think the candidates are the only ones who can put the breaks on the states’ maneuvering.
One positive development is that John Edwards actually remembered that Nevada was one of the four sanctioned primary states which is impressive since almost everyone else–journalists and candidates–seems to have forgotten. Now if only I could get my plan to raise the profile of the Nevada caucus to work, no candidate would ever ignore it again.
