Its Was A Boy’s Night Alright
Taylor Marsh is right. Russert was a disgrace last night as a debate “moderator.” He made Chris Matthews look like Walter Cronkite, not to mention Clinton’s new best friend.

Yeah. What a joke.
man, i fear the republicans are going to win again, and it’s because the dems are going to fall into the classic trap of “divide and conquer”. the democratic candidates and the voters will be picking on each other, or trying to tear hillary down as a front runner, when the real enemy is calmly sitting by, waiting for us all to do each other in. it’s depressing. the focus should be removing the repubs from power, people, come on - FOCUS. don’t be distracted from all the red herring BS.
All this complaining about Russert, etc., including by the Clinton camp, and how the “boys” are piling on is very revealing to me at least. Clinton doesn’t expect to be treated like frontrunners of the past simply because she is a “girl”. Very amusing. Especially watching everyone observing that the boys are bullying the sole girl out in the playground. Give me a break! Russert did a good job. Clinton danced around tough questions. She’s running for President.
She just happens to be a female. Which, she will take advantage of to the fullest extent possible (in developing a base of women voters, even Republican ones, who vote for her simply because she is a woman).
I’ve noticed the pundits are now generally saying that Edwards basicly destroyed himself because he was rough. (He was in fact just being the angry populist candidate, guareenting his failure in Presidential
politics. And, I’ve noticed this am that observers of that debate are saying Obama won because he disagreed and highlighted differences (in policy and in m.o.) without being a jerk about it.
Frank,
There are many of us Democrats who will NOT vote
for Hillary. I always remember things. She is NOT a generally truthful person. She DOES pander excessively. She DOES dance around questions directed her way. She WILL vote for laws that give prison sentences of 4 years to those who burn our flag. She IS hawkish almost to the degree Liebermann is.
She may be right, but she’s still a lousy writer.
“So Russert came loaded and ready last night, but not for bear, but for Hillary Clinton, the Democratic frontrunner, using her former husband president to drive the point home. For good measure he came equipped with documents, which he even held up at one point that seemed to reveal new information, but that was anything but.”
What does that even mean?
