“Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten” Andrew O’Hehir Interviews Julien Temple

Another fascinating interview with Julien Temple about his new documentary on the life of Joe Strummer by Salon.com’s Andrew O’Hehir. I’ve been waiting since early summer to see this movie although I may have a hard time listening to Courtney Love and Johnny Depp jabbering on about Strummer–particularly Depp who took part in one of the worst RollingStone features in years. Pirates are cool! Not. And everytime I’m reminded that Keith Richards is still alive while Joe Strummer is dead, well, let’s just say that Bjorn the Houseboy locks himself in his closet.

Update: The Holland Project found A. O. Scott’s video review of Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten

…good point about Richards still being around to haunt us with his reality.
