Flogging Molly in Reno/Sparks

Well, well, well, although I prefer the Pogues, Flogging Molly in Reno is a big deal indeed (although it means I’ll have to go to the New Oasis). The show is November 30th–be there or be square. Thanks to a hipster tipster for this one. To think, I missed a rare chance to see The Pogues, Flogging Molly, and The Dropkick Murphys, one right after the other. The Murphys were in San Francisco last weekend.

Here’s “What’s Left of The Flag:”

I have been seeing Flogging Molley since they used to play in small dive bars in San Diego. Incredible energy, great music and wonderful lyrics. That and one of the few bands around that plays pirate music. ;-)

It was fun to see them at Lawler, buit the small venues are so much better.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Dropkick Murphys, but if I had my druthers, I’d rather see Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

Galactic, Sick of It All, Henry Rollins, now Flogging Molly. What a great two months! The Dropkick Murphys would be killer. Looks like we’ll have to wait some time before that could conceivably happen :(
