Darren Mack is Finally Silenced
From the RGJ:
After hearing emotional testimony this morning from Charla Mack’s mother, brother, father, and from Judge Chuck Weller and his secretary, Judge Douglas Herndon sentenced Darren Mack to the maximum.
Saying Mack never showed remorse or said he was sorry, Herndon said Mack would spend 20 to life for the murder, and sentenced him 20 years for the attempted murder, and another 20 years for the deadly weapons enhancement.
He said the two terms would run consecutively.
I suggest that Mack’s family just accept the fact that their son belongs in prison for his crimes. There is no one else to blame.

That family is seriously messed up.
I thought they executed people in NV for 1st Degreee Murder? Guess he was too rich.
He’ll enjoy prision, I’m sure. It’s nice in Ely this time of year. -8 degrees every night.
It was probably part of the original plea agreement that he not be executed (the one he tried to discard) or it may have something to do with his capture in Mexico. Authorities down there will not extradite to America if they know the suspect is subject to the death penalty.
Didn’t he say that he thinks he can carry on the fight to reveal the injustices in the judicial system from behind bars? Speaking as someone who works part-time at the prisons in Carson City, he’ll be busy getting used to his new living arrangements: being told what to eat, where to sleep, what to wear, and enjoying the reputedly substandard medical care.
I was going to say he’s delusional if he think anyone will listen to him (other than relatives/lawyers), but that’s been his problem all along.
