Douglas Feith IS The Stupidest Guy on the Planet
Douglas Feith continued to justify his own stupidity and that Donald Rumsfield during a 60 Minutes interview tonight. It’s hard not to laugh listening to this guy; his babbling and bumbling over whether or not Paul Bremer’s decision to disband the Iraqi army was approved by Rumsfeld, reminded me of Elmer Fudd. What we learn from his interview with Steve Croft is that Douglas Feith is never wrong. If everything in Iraq had been done his way, if everyone had listened to him, everything in Iraq would be A-OK. Tommy Franks is right–Feith is “the dumbest fucking guy on the planet.” Stupidity is not always defined by IQ. The important point that Feith continues to miss is the Iraq War and subsequent occupation, that he is at least partly responsible for, is about more than being wrong or right. Its about being accountable for your actions and Feith has shown once again that he is not willing to be accountable.
All of this would just make me the usual kind of “I hate the colossal failure that is the Bush Administration” self-righteous kind of angry, but Douglas Feith and his ilk are the reason my sister is in Iraq right now choking on dust along with a lot of other sisters, brother, daughters, sons, fathers, and mothers. No, the kind of angry I feel these days isn’t self-righteous–it’s selfish and incoherent. Watching Douglas Feith tonight made me understand, for the first time in my life, the inclination to spit on someone because there are no words to describe how insulting their presence is anymore. Oh, but all the profits from his book will be going to his foundation to “help veterans and their families.” Asshole.

You are right - there are no words to describe…I couldn’t believe my ears…There was no way that he could rationalize to a rational person the decisions he/they made. He made going after Saddam Hussein after 9/11 sound more unjust than unjust!
