Convention Coverage Limitations: If Only I Could Be A Full-time Blogger
Unfortunately, I am facing a few challenges for my Big Tent coverage of the Democratic National Convention in Denver that I wanted to tell everyone about.
First, I cannot fly out to Denver until Tuesday because that’s all the vacation days I have available. I arrive late Tuesday evening so my coverage will begin on Wednesday morning after an 8am networking breakfast with my WIPT colleagues. I wish I was flying out tonight but, well, the mortgage isn’t going to pay itself.
Second, I was hoping to have my new phone by now. Unfortunately, the new Blackberry’s that allow you to shoot video aren’t coming out until September, so I’m stuck with my free LG and its battery that now seems to need a new battery. Gak! That means no Twittering from my phone. I will be laptop bound, and since the Big Tent doesnt have enough power outlets, I need to buy an extra battery and a USB charger for my phone if they make such a thing.
I want to thank all of you who chipped in to make my trip possible. I only wish I would be there for all four days to provide you with the kind of coverage you deserve.

I almost think I should loan you my BB Pearl. I took short video with it at the State convention. Wasn’t perfect but gave people little glimpses straight to the RenObama blog.
Also I downloaded a twitter deal that let’s me post and track with it. ….hmmm.
Thanks NVMojo, I’ll make it, but when I do get the new BB, I think its called “Bold” or something like that, I will be able to do utterz and man on the street stuff. Could be fun.
